About the forum 2014

The BIM-MEPAUS Construction Innovation 2014 Forum will be held on the 7 – 8 August 2014 at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Since its inception in 2010, the Construction Innovation Forum has become one of the preeminent events on building information modelling in the Asia Pacific and is a significant activity on the Australian building and construction calendar annually.

The program is designed to bring together thought leaders and practitioners from across the world to discuss and share information at an industry level, with a focus on demonstrating how technological advances meet best practices applications on Australian and international projects.

PhoenxPLM Presentation:

Creating a Collaboration Culture 7 August – 3.15pm to 3.55pm

Delivering the promised value of BIM is as much about the people as the technology and the processes. However, getting people to collaborate effectively and willingly in an environment where they have been taught to compete is a major challenge.

Human history is built on collaboration for the greater good of the group, and in this session we will look at some examples of the ways you can leverage this. Spending just 30 minutes thinking about the people not just as resources but as people, rather than focusing on technology and processes, might be the most valuable thing you can do for the future success of your projects.
